#Ds3 tool windows 10 loading slowly update.#Ds3 tool windows 10 loading slowly drivers.#Ds3 tool windows 10 loading slowly install.Porting applications between the PC and Windows is basically just a matter of cross compiling the application. It runs a PowerPc version of Windows and DirectX 9. (The Xbox 360 itself is another matter, because it's not Windows)Īctually the Xbox 360 is windows, just not Intel Windows. From a programming standpoint it's not hard. It would not be hard to make FFXI able to recognize an axis as a button. No it wouldn't, the shoulder buttons show up as an axis in Directinput. Newer games that support the xbox controller specifically do not support a lot of older game pads because they only use Xinput, not DirectInput, which is now considered depreciated by Microsoft and will no longer be a part of future versions of DirectX.įFXI for PC doesn't use Xinput, thus it will not fully support the xbox 360 controller under Windows. FFXI uses DirectInput (part of DirectX 9 and earlier) for gamepad support, so functionality which depends on Xinput wouldn't be available. It would be, because AFAIK that requires the newer input standard used by the xbox controller (Xinput).

MS would rather do it voluntarily than have a law that forces them to do it in a probably much more restrictive way. They went to Microsoft and told them that they wanted Blu-Ray video decryption locked down on Windows (if you have driver signature enforcement disabled then Blu-Ray movies won't play) and hinted that if MS didn't comply they'd have legislation passed that would force them to do it. So far nobody has managed to actually break their driver signature and not for lack of trying.Īs for the reason for all this, blame the RIAA and MPAA. Driver signatures are issued by Verisign not Microsoft and this is what the license fee is for. Rather than trying to come up with their own encryption they decided that it would be better to hire real cryptography experts and subcontracted Verisign to do it for them.

(the simplest way is to just hit F8 on bootup and select "Disable driver signature enforcement" They can't afford the $100 per year license fee that MS requires for signed drivers. If you are using any 64-bit Windows then you will have to disable driver signature enforcement to be able to use XBCD which is an unsigned driver. There has been several topics about this already so if you want more info you can do a search. the one I use is called XBCD (should show up in a google search).
